Hours: Monday-Wednesday 6-15 hours $18-$20/hour plus access to vegetables.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

We are seeking candidates that can work in a dynamic environment of variable weather conditions with a skill set focused on attention to detail, including but not limited to taking initiative, seeing colour, attuned taste, speed, agility, strength, organization and cleanliness. This position will require you to arrive early in the heat of the summer and be prepared to get wet in the pack wash station. Depending on your availability you will also transplant and tend to crops in the field. You will need to know how to measure plant cell moisture, the plant spacings, minor record keeping and note taking. It will also be valuable to have experience cultivating and being able to identify the difference between crops and weeds.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Self-motivated

• Willing to work outdoors in all weather

• Punctual

• Good mobility, back/knees/hamstrings in particular

• Previous experience working in a fast paced environment is an asset.

• Previous experience in agriculture, particularly organic agriculture is an asset.

• Previous experience doing outdoor and/or manual labour is also an asset, but if you have a willingness to learn we will train you!

• Living within 30 minutes of the farm by car, unless you like driving and paying for fuel isn’t a budget buster.
