What to Expect in your Weekly Vegetable Baskets
We grow over 25 different vegetable and herb crops and we aim to feature most of them in your weekly vegetable baskets over the season. The following gives you a general idea of what you can expect on a seasonal basis. We aim to provide a variety of vegetables each week with a focus on the most popular vegetables. Each week we aim to include some salad ingredients, some snacking vegetables and some heartier vegetables for cooked meals.
Spring (June)
Lots of spring salad greens such as lettuce mix, arugula, pea shoots
Spring roots such as radishes and turnips
Cooking greens such as spinach, kale, swiss chard and pac choi
The first appearances of some summer crops as such peas, carrots, beets and broccoli
Summer (July/August)
Salad greens such as lettuce heads, lettuce mix and arugula
Cooking greens such as kale and swiss chard (often offered as a choice)
Summertime classics such as zucchini, beans and carrots
Tomatoes (both beefsteak and cherry) as long as they are in season
Fresh herbs and green onions (often offered as a choice)
Occasional specialty vegetables such as sweet peppers, fresh sweet onions and garlic scapes
Fall (September/October)
Salad greens such as lettuce mix, spinach and arugula
Hardy, green fall vegetables such as cabbage, napa cabbage and broccoli
Fall staples such as squash, potatoes and onions
Specialty fall vegetables such as leeks, radicchio and collards
Choices
We will often incorporate choices into the basket offerings. These choices will vary and offer you some customization of the contents of your basket.
Some examples are:
A choice of fresh herbs such as cilantro, dill or basil
A choice of bunched greens such as kale or swiss chard
A choice of bunched roots such as radishes or turnips
SWAP Box
If you’re tired of turnips or have leftover lettuce you can use our swap box to swap out of the items in your basket for another item. The swap box will contain the same items as your vegetable basket so you can double up on something you just can’t get enough of.

Holiday/Away Policy
It is helpful to know if you’re going to be away but we aren’t able to credit you for weeks that you will miss.
We encourage you to find a friend or family member who can pick up the vegetables instead of you.
If this isn’t possible we’ll make sure the vegetables don’t go to waste.
Late Pick Ups
Life happens, we get it! If you are late to pick up your vegetables we will call you using the phone number you provided when signing up.
If you cannot meet us within 10 minutes of the drop off ending we will take your basket back to our farm in Barss Corner.
You will have 2 days following your pick up day to arrange to come to the farm to pick up your vegetables. After 2 days we will ensure the vegetables are eaten and don’t go to waste.
No additions
Unfortunately we can’t accommodate weekly additions to your basket, it makes our packing process overly complicated.
